Deprecations

Policy

• We serve models that their makers run. When a maker stops offering a model, we remove it too, often at short notice.
• A removed model disappears from GET /v1/models and from Models. Calls to its id then fail with an error (see Errors).
• Every removal is listed below and in the Changelog.
• Model settings can change too, for example a new resolution or duration option, or one that is no longer offered. The model's page always shows the current fields and prices.

To stay safe:

• Read model ids from GET /v1/models instead of hard-coding a long list, or check it on start-up.
• Keep a second model in mind for each job, and switch in your own code if its first choice stops working.
• Check this page or the Changelog when a model stops working.
