Data and logging
What is stored when you call the API, for how long, and who else sees your requests.
The Privacy Policy is the binding text. This page is the short version for developers.
What is kept, and for how long
| Data | Kept |
|---|---|
| Text of chat prompts and replies | Not kept |
| Usage records: time, model, key name, token or unit counts, price, duration, status, request id | While your account is open, so you can see them in Usage logs |
| Media job records: model, status, result links, and the prompt and settings you sent | With your job history while your account is open |
| Files you upload in the Studio | 1 day, then deleted |
| Generated files (images, video, audio) behind result links | 7 days, then deleted |
| Server logs | 14 days |
| IP address of API requests | Only if you turn on "record IP" in your settings |
| Encrypted backups | Deleted data leaves them within 30 days |
Download any result you want to keep within 7 days. After that the link stops working and the file cannot be recovered.
Who else sees your requests
Your prompts, input files and outputs pass through our servers to the company that runs the model. The model makers handle that data under their own terms; we do not control whether they log or keep it. Their terms are listed on the Model Provider Terms page.
There is no zero-retention option today, and no way to choose or exclude a model maker's servers for a request.
What you should do
- Do not send secrets, passwords or data you are not allowed to share with the model maker.
- Keep your own copy of outputs; result links are not storage.
- Turn on "record IP" only if you need it for your own auditing.
- To see, export or delete your data, use the contact in the Privacy Policy.
