Cherry Studio

Use every text model in a desktop chat app.

Cherry Studio is a desktop chat app for Windows, macOS and Linux, with ready-made assistants, knowledge bases and image generation.

Set up

  1. Download and install it from cherry-ai.com/download.

  2. Open Settings → Model Provider and click Add.

  3. Name the provider, choose the type OpenAI, and save.

  4. Fill in:

  5. Click Manage (or Fetch models) and add the models you want. They come from GET /v1/models, so they match the Models page.

  6. Click Check to send a test request, then turn the provider on.

Chat

Start a new chat, pick one of the provider's models at the top, and send a message. Usage is billed to your balance; see Usage logs.

If Check fails with 401, the key is wrong or turned off. With 404, remove any /v1 you added to the API Host; Cherry Studio adds it.
